Alfa frigor was founded in 1972 by Michael Architektonidis.
His vision was the creation of a modern Hellenic ice cream freezers industry.
After his studies in Chemistry in Italy, and having by his side partners and know-how from Italian factories, he had started the production.
The company moved in Thermi Thessaloniki to larger premises after its initial steps.
The ever-increasing market demands forced the transfer to new private facilities in 1994 to the Industrial Park of Oreokastro, near to the Egnatia Road (1 km) and to Thessaloniki port(5km).
Having new modern facilities Alfa frigor expanded its product range and customer base.
After the continuous research and constant quality, Alfa frigor began to export its products around the world (Europe, the Balkans, U.S., Middle East, North Africa, Australia, India etc.)
